Orlando code for the Kingdom Hackathon

Orlando code for the Kingdom Hackathon

This weekend, May 22-24, Wycliffe Associates hosted Code for the Kingdom Hackathon in Orlando.

Code for the Kingdom Hackathon gathered Christian coders and startups to present them with challenges that people all over the world face in their freedoms and spiritual lives. The event showed how technology can be used for advancement of God’s Kingdom and helping achieve common good. Unlike ‘pwn2own’ style events, this hackathon was about changing lives of people in need with technology, code, Raspberry PIs, Cloud computers etc.

Coders of all countries, unite for the Kingdom! #c4tk

ApostleMod had the honor of being one of the startups participating in the hackathon on Saturday.  We networked with amazing developers and other Christian tech startups. Among others we met Unfolding Word, a company that strives to achieve unrestricted biblical content in every language.

Mise En Abyme cloud computers were met with great enthusiasm as a potential for delivering free modern computers to the developing world, but was not one of the 3-days long hacking challenges.
